Brainlabs CF 5 – 5 Bing FCRory Jones
Bing FC vs Brainlabs CF
Market Road Stadium
Anyone hoping to see the above at the first Brainlabs vs Bing football match were sorely disappointed, but everyone agreed that teamwork and football were the real winners. As well as biscuits and Doritos. The final score was Doritos 100 – Everyone Else 0.
Bing went out of their way to organise what pundits and journalists alike are calling the ‘Match of Yesterday’, arriving festooned with plush matching kits, branded water bottles and unhealthy, delicious snacks for weary substitutes.
Fanatical support from the sidelines spilled over into a full-scale pitch invasion before kick-off, but fears were allayed when it became apparent it was for a Twitter team photo. An initially cagey game (no pun intended) really got going after a few goals started flying in, some graceful tiki-taka from Brainlabs countered by ruthless finishing from Bing, followed in turn by hilariously poor shooting from Brainlabs and an unfortunate yet undeniably clinical own goal from Brainlabs at the death.
Bing went beyond the call of duty in organising a brilliant evening of mixed football, played in the best of spirits.
